Visa and Residency Information

We would like to remind you that all flights to Northern Cyprus are connected via Turkey. Therefore, depending upon your nationality, you may need a TRANSIT VISA of Republic of Turkey. You may contact nearest Turkish Embassy/Consulate ( www.mfa.gov.tr ) to get advice on the TRANSIT VISA requirements, and complete VISA formalities by presenting the letter of acceptance issued by the university.Citizens of Pakistan, residing in Pakistan require visa to enter TRNC. You may contact nearest TRNC Representative Office to get advise on visa requirements and complete VISA formalities by presenting the letter of acceptance issued by the university.

Angola

Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Azerbaijan

Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa requirement for their travels to Turkey up to 30 days. Official passport holders are exempt from visa requirement for their travels up to 90 days.

Bulgaria

Diplomatic and service passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days. Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date.

Georgia

Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Kazakhstan

Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Kenya

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Sri Lanka

Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Ukraine

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. They can obtain three month-multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates and stay in Turkey up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days

Syria

Ordinary and official passport holders are required visa for their travel up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date.

Saudi Arabia

Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are obliged to get their visas from the Turkish diplomatic representations abroad. Ordinary passport holders can obtain their sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.

Oman

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days

Libya

Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Lebanon

Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes and transit to/from Turkey up to 90 days within six months, starting from the first entry date

Kuwait

Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey and they can obtain their sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.

Kyrgyzstan

Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Iran

Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Egypt

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Nigeria

Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Please note that for Nigerian students the visa application process take at least one month.

Pakistan

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Citizens of Pakistan, residing in Pakistan require visa to enter TRNC. You may contact nearest TRNC Representative Office to get advise on visa requirements and complete VISA formalities by presenting the letter of acceptance issued by the university.

Palestine

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Only diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Uzbekistan

Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa requirement for their travels to Turkey up to 30 days. Diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels to Turkey up to 90 days.

Bahrain

Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey and they can obtain their sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.

Bangladesh

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Ghana

Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey.

Jordan

Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa to enter Turkey.

Mauritius

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. They can obtain one month multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

United Arab Emirates

Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary passport holders can obtain their sticker type visas at the Turkish border gates upon their arrival.

    • TURKISH VISA INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS:
      TURKISH VISA INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS:
      1. Passport or travel document (Original, signed passport valid for at least 3 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page available for visa stamp(s)).
      2. Completed visa application form.  (should be filled with computer and will be signed at Visa Section) dfd http://www.visa.gov.tr
      3. Passport photocopy (all the pages of the passport that have seal and visas).
      4. Conviction Record Certificate from TRNC police immigration office in Güzelyurt. dfd 2 passport photos which should affix by Village Headman (Mukhtar) + Stamp Duty (23TL).
      5. Entry and Exit report from TRNC police immigration office in Güzelyurt. dfd Stamp Duty (10TL).
      6. One biometric passport photograph.
      7. Proof of sufficient funds to accommodate and support themselves for the duration of stay. dfd (Bank account statement -at least $ 50 per day).
      8. Documents supporting the purpose and the conditions of the planned visit (e.g. Hotel reservation).
      9. If the person applies from a country other than his/her homeland, then he/she should also submit his/her valid residence permit or any document that proves he/she legally stays in that country.
      10. New dated student certificate (only for students). dfd To be obtained from the Directorate of Student Affairs.
      11. A reference person's name, address, telephone number and identity card photocopy.
      12. Applicant's identity card photocopy or birth certificate.
      13. Reserved plane ticket and its photocopy(ECN-TÜRKİYE-ECN ticket). dfd (The ticket is non-refundable if the visa has not been issued and utilized)
      **Visa processing time is at least 1 month.
      • RESIDENT PERMIT:

        After arriving to TRNC, you have to acquire your Student Resident Permit in one –month time (the announcement will be made to let you know when and where to apply. Obtaining a Student Resident Permit is mandatory by law for all international students studying at TRNC. Once you complete in campus registration you should visit https://permissions.gov.ct.tr for your Resident Permit Application. If you have any questions regardıng procedure you should contact Student Satisfaction Office in campus.

        Failure to obtain Student Resident Permit may result in deportation from island eventually.
